I was really enjoying this book up until the cheating; of course I assumed there was probably going to be some emotional cheating happening given the premise but I was as hoping it would be minimal. I’m fact I had really hoped there’d be a big reveal that Abby and Marcus were in an arranged marriage and were both closeted or something.

But nope Marcus is the most perfect guy and Abby still cheats on him. Not to say she should’ve jisy stayed with him but I wish there hadn’t been a kiss or sexual contact happening between the women until they’d ended things.

Cheating is gross and it sucks that this same tired trope is still happening so often in wlw.

Really undervalues the relationship that Abby and Jordan end up having too because whose to say Abby won’t cheat on her some day too.

All in all well written, a cute concept and enjoyed it up until the cheating but after that I immediately lost interest.

Lately, most of the books I've read have been a 3 stars only. Could be just me. My favorite part of a romance book is basically the pieces coming together and the pieces coming undone. I like to see how they react when things don't work out. The heartache is sad to read but it's actually one of the great parts. It's right before they realize they're meant to be and fight for each other. I felt some of that WOW heartache but (it could just be me), it wasn't WOW or anything major major. The fallouts are the best part and I didn't felt all that from this book. I did get the whole feeling thing. It was good. This is only the third lesbian romance story I've read. This one is definitely at the top, better than the other two for sure. Besides that, everything was on point. I just felt like something really mindblowing and major was missing. It could've been just me and my crazy self. It was a great read and It only took me 5 hours to read. Worth it. Loved the ending. It was sweet. Btw, I wish we got to see how Delta and Jordan got along later on, a year later. I could see myself recommending this book. It wasn't a bad book. Once again, it was good. I felt like it was missing something.
