This book was a little bit different than the others, rather than focusing on 1 there were 12. At first, I was sceptical of the book because I did not like "Poirot Investigates". In this book, I like how the stories of Hercules connected the chapters. Furthermore, Christie's writing never disappoints, I was always on top of my chair to know how the person was accused.

A funny little concept! Love Christie sticking to a theme here. Some more fun than others, along the same line as usual.

I found the stories in this anthology pretty uneven, of the 12 stories about 2/3rds were very good and the other few lagged a bit. However the way that the stories were tied together with the labors of Hercules was very well done. I enjoyed each labor as an independent, complete story but read together they made a slightly bigger picture than each independently.
No knowledge of the labors of Hercules is needed to get that bigger picture. Though there were a few of the stories where I believe more knowledge of the actual labors of Hercules would have allowed me to draw some parallels that I didn’t catch.
Quite glad I read this. I appreciate Christie as an author more with every book of hers I read.

One of the last few books I’ve read before I will have completed all of the Hercule Poirot and it feels right that I got a collection of shorts at the end because reading this made me nostalgic and emotional for my relationship with Ms Christie and her books for the last two years….. absolutely moved. The hallmarks of a kind detective surfaces a lot in this series.

Delightful collection of short stories, and all with a signature Agatha Christie twist at the end.
Great vacation reading, even if it's just a mental vacation.
