Ok so I didn't know at first if this was meant to be historical fiction or just plain fiction but I think it's the latter.. As with most short stories, there isn't much explaining going on in this story but it does do better than others I've read so I appreciated that! Orr has a really lovely style of writing that kept making me think of magical realism even though this story was not that..??? I DUNNO. It was just a really sweet read about 2 brothers being head strong and braver than they think they are. I would like to read more about this story but at the same time I'm ok with the way it ended. Totally gonna keep my eyes peeled for more by KJ Orr!!
