Sweet innocent Kylie just lost her much loved Dad in a horrible accident. He left her the evil stepmother who throws her out after accusing her of sleeping with her men toys. She takes what little she owns and heads to Nashville to fulfill a promise she made to her father. She is going to be a country star ! She need a job, a place to sleep and a place to play. After finding those she meets the biggest ego, drunkest player in town and there begins a new chapter on the country road of heartbreak and song.
It was cheesy, unbelievable, things just came together too easy, she was too naive, she was a virgin, luckily that wasn't a big issue in the story, and had some really dumb moments.
It was also, sweet, kind, warmhearted and sexy, wow somebody went to the peak ! It was what it was a country romance. The sex was written, nothing over done. The romance was nicely paced with cliffhanger to keep you coming back for book 2.

Trace Corbin and Kylie Ryans are my everything. Seriously, this book made me so happy because it's beyond even after the sad stuff.

Girl with Guitar is about a girl and some country music. Now I love music - I listen to all kinds of radio stations and genres. I'm open to anything and everything. Kylie has a dream to become a fantastic country singer. After a sudden and super tragic death in the family, she leaves her hometown to make sure her dreams come true. Well, she hopes.

She starts to work at bar when she get's offered to become a warm-up act for Trace Corbin. Here comes the swooning everyone!! Of course things don't go off between the two because Trace wants nothing to do with her. He isn't happy that she is going to open for him. Then Kylie finds out about his awful drinking habits and attitude.

OF COURSE during this whole tour they start to get attracted to each other and I shipped the hell out of them. I loved them and this damn story. Heck, I really want the second book right now!

Besides that, Kylie is a pretty lovable character from the get go. She has a backbone because she doesn't take Trace's shit. I loved that about her the most probably. Then there's Trace who was a huge hot mess. Man, did he need some Kylie in his life! Besides that his sisters were amazing and easily lovable as well. Even though he was a crappy guy in the beginning you will definitely fall in love with the relationship between him and his sisters. THEN you will swoon over his relationship with Kylie.

Love this book and I can't wait to dive into the second one!!!

The MMC is awful. I liked the vibes at the beginning, but then he ruined it for me.

This was a really good book, so good that I finished it in one sitting. Kylie is a girl who is looking to make it big in Country music after her dad dies in a freak accident and has nothing left. She leaves her home town to move to Nashville. She finds a job at a bar where one night she sings a song of famous rock star Trace Corbin. Trace Corbin is a well known Country star whose career is spiraling down due to his drinking problems. Trace is there at The Rum Room, where Kylie works, the night she sang the song. Trace's manager and label think Kylie is maybe the last person than can help Trace's career. The two go on tour together and sparks fly. They get under each other's skin and Trace continues to drink his career down the drain. Kylie believes that he can be helped because every now and then he shows his soft side. Will Kylie let Trace ruin her chances at her dreams coming true and dragging her down with him or will she help Trace turn his career around? Caisey Quinn did a great job writing this book. I loved the little, witty fights between Trace and Kylie. I LOVED their chemistry. This was a great book. I enjoyed it. Cannot wait to read the next book!! I read a little excerpt and it sounds like it will be as great as the first!

I was in one of those moods and this book about an Oklahoma girl hoping to make it big in Nashville was perfect. Kylie was a sweet and sassy eighteen year old trying to make her dreams comes true. She often times said first thought about it later, but it was one of the traits that endeared me to her. Trace was an absolute ass, but every once in a while we saw the man he should be lurking underneath that asshat he wore.

Onward to Girl on Tour.

So cute! Loved Kylie! Her personailty was on point and anytime she got in front of the mic, she killed it! Didn't even torture myself with reading the sneak peek at the end. Can't wait for the next book!

I thought this was a decent read. It wasn't the most original story, but it still held a thread of novelty that inspired me to keep reading.

In this book, Kylie Ryans is a down on her luck girl, having lost her father not long ago, getting kicked out by her stepmom, and losing her job. While she's down she figures she might as well just head to Nashville to jump start her dreams of making it in the country music business. It doesn't take her long to get job waitressing gig, which sets her up to be discovered by Trace Corbin and his people. In no time, she is touring with Trace and starting her new career. It doesn't take long for all those TMZ rumors to slap her in the face and realize that Trace really is drinking away his career, and in doing so, could damage her shot at success before it even starts. Thus, she pulls on her big girl panties and tries to force him into being more responsible. Her pluckiness earns her Trace's attention and eventually they are fighting their hormones. But alas, this is a romance novel and so they can't fight them forever. When they finally give in and do the horizontal mambo, things start to unravel fast. They realize they mean more to each other just as external stresses create confusion and high emotions. By the end of the book, the tour is over and Kylie is trying to get on a new tour while Trace is working to revitalize his career. All the while, they are trying to work out how they feel about each other.

When the book starts, I was pretty intrigued. New girl on the scene of Nashville, trying to make it big isn't the most original plotline in the world, and is just a cliché story, but Kylie seemed like a fun main character and she was meeting amusing people along the way. Even being finished with the book, I still like the supporting cast, but somewhere along the way, I got annoyed with Kylie Ryans. She got to be really immature and overly stubborn that it wasn't as fun to read about her. It seemed that she felt she could do whatever she wanted. I didn't necessarily blame her for her actions, but then I didn't have any pity for her when the consequences bit her in the butt.

I also would've liked to see me tension between Kylie and Trace at the start. They had enough of it when they first met, but it didn't last very long. I wish they could've been more at each others' throats for a longer period of time, because they really just had two little tiffs and then they moved on pretty quick. So what I guess I really mean is that the beginning was a bit rushed, but I'm not sure the writing was strong enough to be any slower, though.

I already have the next books in the series so I'll continue on and see what more is in store for these two country crooners. I imagine the drama has only just begun.
