this book is definitely quick paced and i managed to read in a day!
i found such a strong attachment to charlie, as well as so many other loveable characters in this book. i particularly loved the way that the book focused on a victims attachment to their abuser in a completely different light to anything i’d read before.
i honestly think this book is a MUST read for anyone who battled with mental illness/trauma in their teen years, i absolutely love the way that adolescence was shown, it was sad and heartbreaking but it’s definitely my new comfort book.
in terms of faults, i really don’t think that patrick and sam were the best friends for charlie. they constantly put him in unfamiliar and scary situations and then freezed him out for his reactions?!

la seule raison pour laquelle j’ai pas pleuré c’est parce que je l’ai lu dans la voiture avec ma mère. j’avais le cœur tellement lourd pendant ma lecture ce qui n’arrive pas souvent pour le coup. je suis pas fan du format épistolaire à la base mais j’ai adoré.

Definitivamente con esta segunda vez que lo leo me confirmo a mi misma que es uno de los mejores finales que he leído. He madurado bastante desde mi primera vez leyendo este libro y me alegra haberlo hecho ahora. Fue una experiencia diferente esta vez porque ya conocía los personajes y sabia lo que iba a pasar, pero no por eso fue menos impresionante, creo que fue incluso mejor.

I finally finished this book! And it only took me 2 months!
I think I couldn't really enjoy this book that well because it took me so long (blame school) and because I had seen the movie before I read the book, so I knew everything that was going to happen. It was still a great book, though, and my favorite part was that one poem.
