I received this book through Netgalley. I voluntarily offer my honest opinion of this book.
This was a nice short story of a marriage of convenience. Madeline has got to get married to get her inheritance so turns to her childhood friend and first love Jake. It's a nice sweet story as they try to keep there secrets from each other and resist their attraction. I like reading about the main characters and found it easy to connect with them through the story. The story was only a short story however I did not feel like the story was missing anything by being short. A nice easy read that I would recommend. xxx

An adorable quickie marriage of convenience story with two people too stubborn to admit they love each other. When "Mad Maddy" needs a husband fast, she goes back to the man who stole her heart years ago. Jake's future was all mapped out until Maddy's impulsive, get-what-I-want action detoured his plans for college and a promising career. Can they put their pasts behind to create a new future perfect for them both?

This is a novella but to be honest feels like a full length book.
The story is well written and enjoyable.
Both characters have secrets and feelings for each other but an incident in the past has damaged their relationship.
I think the H forgets how young the H was when the events occured and he is quite cruel at their first meeting.
The forgiveness comes quickly too but one thing I liked was even though she is attracted to him, earlier on in the story when he tries to 'woo' her she holds out.
