I finished the audiobook yesterday and I have such mix feelings on this book. Like I get not all books have to have a “good” message but I think having so much of it be about apologising/ignoring sexual harassment claims and it being about someone who is innocent being accused when though that does happen is less likely than a real accuser and how false claims make real claims hard to prosecute etc made me feel weird.
I liked seeing it from the woman’s side and how she’d deal with someone she loves being accused of something horrible when she's previously been so vocal about believing women. The way interent cancel culture was incorporated was good too.
However there were so many moments that left me feeling frustrated and icky. There seemed to be a lot of rape apology and making excuses for people who may or may not have deserved it and being like well it wasn't that bad, and it made me feel uncomfortable throughout.

the thing about the list is that it is not a serious book, and i could tell this from the moment they revealed the cover which pissed me off from the very beginning. and, i don’t think the unseriousness is for lack of trying, necessarily. but it’s definitely just not serious.
