I love reading these poems, looking at the word choices, where the emotion is mentioned, if it is, the line breaks. I am grateful for the published insights into her life, and always wonder about the unpublished bits.

These are short poems about nature, daily life, little things and big things. This would be a good book for people who don't think they like or can understand poetry. The poems are simple but not simplistic. I look forward to picking it up again and reading some more poems soon. I never read a book of poems from cover to cover as I do a novel.

This is a book of nature poetry with some recurring elements of grief in the subtext of a lot of them. And it was good though I thought the imagery was maybe a little too straightforward like the writer just started jotting down things squirrels did outside and decided to make a poem out of. That said. there are quite a few standout poems but none that really blew me away.
