It's taken me a long time to read this book. It's an overview more or less of the teachings and founder of Liberation Theology. It is a challenging, refreshing read.

I like the way Gutierrez thinks and I find the major tenets of what he is trying to advance deeply compelling. But for the life of me, I find his writing hard to follow and often dull. Or quite likely he is just too smart for me.

Still he teases me enough with the insight and approach to the integration of mysticism and justice that I have been searching for that I will probably keep reading what he writes just in the off chance that it will all make sense at some point.
