Take Me Tonight
4 Stars

Synopsis
Sage Valentine is determined to discover what role a thrill seeking website played in the shocking suicide of her roommate. Organizing her own "abduction" seems the way to go, only things don't go as planned when her hired "rescuer", Bullet Catcher Johnny Christiano, turns out to be more than she can handle.

Review
Light and fun.

Johnny and Sage are great together and they certainly know how to steam up the windows. Sage is intelligent, resourceful and cool under pressure but it takes her too long to figure out who Johnny really is despite the clues staring her in the face. Johnny is sexy and sweet, and if that isn't enough, he can cook too. His family background is intriguing but is, unfortunately, completely under-utilized in the story.

Although icky and disturbing, the concept of a thrill kidnapping site is believable and well done - some women definitely need their heads examined. The villain is super creepy but his identity is too obvious and his motive under-developed.

The writing is good and well-paced although the conflicts are resolved very quickly with no real confrontation. Nevertheless, this series is highly entertaining and I look forward to reading the next book.

A journalist and an operative get entangled in a website for thrills conspiracy. He's charming and sweet, but dangerous; she's spunky and a little too intrepid. Their romance is complicated - she starts off seducing him for information (a rather hot blowjob scene however questionable lol), and he hides his identity from her.

There's plenty of banter, and their dynamics are fun. I enjoyed their romance, but I thought his secret dragged on a little longer than it should. His cooking wizardry and his protectiveness are very sexy. The suspense is thrilling, but some parts got a bit convoluted. Still, it's a solid romsus read!

This is the third book from the Bullet Catchers series that I have read. In all three cases, I've had trouble finishing the books. The mystery was interesting with some twists. The characters were likeable, and the book was well written, but for whatever reason, this series just hasn't connected with me. I will give the series one more chance before I give up reading the rest.
