The Aching Darkness: A Dark Fantasy Anthology is an amazing collection of paranormal tales by several different authors! This has a story for everyone who loves dark fantasy. There are vampires, witches, angels, demonic creatures, and much more! All the stories were action packed, and had great flow. A Darker Fall by Parker Sinclair really stood out for me though, as it’s about Angels & Demons. There is a special ops team to destroy monsters, and Ilese is an amazing Dark Angel who is tasked with taking them out! Reminded me a bit of Supernatural or Buffy, it was REALLY amazing!

This was a real great anthology. Each book in it is worthy of a 5 star! I thouroughly enjoyed reading this book. There was a great mix of Vampires, Witches and Angels. Each author brings a different style to this book. Each one complements each other.
I loved reading them all but my absolute favorite story in this anthology was A Darker Fall by Parker Sinclair. Angel themed romances are one of my absolute favorites and this book didnt let me down. I was quite taken with the first person pov of Ilese. I really enjoyed the plot an how it unfolded and I very much look forward to reading more of the series and books by this author. I really found the characters refreshing. I was quite glued to the pages to see how the story would unfold and how Ilese and Josh whole story unfolds. I am eager to see more of their story and what is to come.
A close second is White Matron Deadly Secrets by Jessica Ozment. This is another genre I like to read. I am quite into anything whitchy. I was really drawn to Fey's character as a whole. I found myself really wanting to cheer her on through the twists and turns in this book. I do know that there was a slight twist in the book I wasnt expecting and that by the end of the book I was hungry for more. I was left with a hunger for more and to find out how Fey gets on. I really really cannot wait till I can read more in this series and this author. I really look forward to seeing how the story unfolds and if Fey can overcome the darkness inside of her.
This book was a great combination of stories that just made reading it a pure joy. This is a great read for anyone whole likes paranormal stories. It had me glued to the book and left me aching for more!

If you love paranormal stories this anthology is for you. It contains vampires. Witches, angel, demons, and I could list more but you get the idea. I usually do not read anthology mixes but I am glad I took this group to read. Each of the authors has a unique writing style. There was enough detail in each story to keep your interest. The topics are a little dark in nature. There is enough material in the books that there is something for everyone. Once you start reading you may not want to stop with the story you are reading.

The Arching Darkness: A Dark Fantasy Anthology by four great writing authors. Each of their stories are full of action, suspense, paranormal and even some romance added in. They will take you on some twists and turns that will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat. You never know what you may find lurking on the next page. These stories are engaging and once you start reading these stories you won't to put them down. Each author has their own writing styles and creative details that made me feel like I was right there. Their characters are a mixture of vampires, assassins, witches, angels, demons and monsters. There is something in this book for everyone. I know you will find a favorite author or authors in this mix along with favorite stories, I know that I did. I highly recommend this book as I know you will want to see which story is your favorite.

The Aching Darkness is a spellbinding anthology of dark fantasy stories that really made me sit up and take notice. Each story was original, well written and intriguing. I devoured the whole anthology in one sitting, that’s how good they were. I was drawn to this collection because I really love dark stories, but primarily because Parker Sinclair is one of the contributing authors and I LOVE everything she writes. Her contribution to this collection exceeded all my expectations and then some. As always, she delivered the goods in a completely riveting way. Hello, she had me at Dark Angel.
The other three authors are all new to me, but that status is about to change as of NOW!
Alexia Purdy, how have I not discovered this author before now, looking at all the books she has released, they are all right smack bang at the top of the list of types of books that I love to read, so needless to say I will be going on a one-click frenzy with her catalogue of books. Her addition to this anthology was fantastic, a plague, Las Vegas, Zombie like creatures and so much more. She packed a lot of story into a small space!
Jessica Ozment is another new to me author whose work I will be following closely from now on. Her contribution to this collection was awesome! A White Witch on the verge of gaining incredible powers, with a complicated past. We follow as her destiny unfolds! Can’t wait to read more of her work.
Robert Stock’s offering to the anthology appears to be his debut novel. I was sooooo impressed by his story and devoured every word. I really hope he has more work/stories in the pipeline because I really love his style and storyline. His Vampire story with an edge and a bit of a twist- was one of my favourites, and I really can’t wait to read more from him!
A truly brilliant collection!! Now I want more!! When is the next collection coming out (hint, hint, hint 😊)

The Aching Darkness: A Dark Fantasy Anthology is a compilation of dark fantasy supernatural read written by four authors each with their own unique writing styles that will captivate and engage you from the get go. Each book has a different way of holding you until the end. They are dark and thrilling and don’t leave you wanting. They will have you on the edge of your seat and you heart pounding.
Overall this is a truly good collection with all the fast paced action, darkest of fantasy, and the imaginations of the authors…...Parker Sinclair, Alexia Purdy, Jessica Ozment and Robert Stock. I can’t wait for more.

The Aching Darkness is an anthology made up of four stories. These stories offered something different in every story. Different characters, different drama, different desires. Danger, darkness and delight was present at every turn of the page. There was a bit of many genres to suit all those paranormal/fantasy needs. A supermarket of suspense and intrigue.
All the authors were new to me, and delivered a tasty set of tales to keep me occupied for hours. I was kept guessing as to what new twisty storyline I would read next. Stories which included ghastly ghouls, blood suckers, magical witches, zombies and dark a deadly angels.
A stunning collection of stories that a brilliantly written and holds readers attention tightly. 4 stars
