Ooo! An indigenous apocalyptic story. I love that this took place on a northern reservation with some connections to the traditional way of living, learning and being. Also loved the many contemporary aspects, with the youth showcasing the generational trauma through their behaviours. 

I felt like there were too many characters and that we didn’t go deep enough into any of them.

As soon as the dream of body bags happened, I wondered if this was going to be a Windigo story and was proud of myself for guessing correctly.

I’m excited to have another indigenous author in Canada, telling stories I love to read, but from an indigenous lens. Easy to recommend this book.
