What a fantastic book.  The author's reflections on her own body and life are personal, yet so many of the thoughts could be what any of us think.  While I'm not a huge fan of personal essays or memoirs, this one touched me.

I don't have too much to say about this book but that it touched me deeply. Many of Gay's experiences are closely aligned to things I have had to go through in my own life, which at time made for really tough reading. I cried along the way, but also found myself laughing - Gay's narration was charismatic, touching, simple but laden with so man layers of meaning. The ambiguity of some of her thoughts, and how she wrote, was realistically complicated and spoke to my own experiences beyond words.
