This is a great introduction to Albert Einstein the child, who was unusual in his own right. I plan to read this to my elementary students to open up a discussion about expectations that other people have of them, and children in general, and how the students can achieve success by exploring the topics that truly interest them, by trying new things, and then becoming experts in their "field." There is no one size fits all in education and success. Einstein is a prime example.

Good book to introduce Einstein's life, but very little about his actual discoveries and seems to jump quickly in places. Enjoyed the story of his young life, though, and found the illustrations quirky and fun.

A solid way for kids and adults to learn about Albert Einstein’s early life.

Actually, 3 1/2 stars - really nice story, and shows the personality of Einstein. I didn't like the illustrations as much, but liked the story. The end material was nice in showing more of Einstein's life.

A simple children's biography of Albert Einstein. Mostly it is about Einstein as a child. It is interesting and readable with good enough art. But it feels a bit shallow. And not provably accurate in the way you'd get with the right afterward. It was okay. 3.5 of 5.

I really appreciated how the book focused on the struggle of little Albert Einstein, how hard it was for him to fit in, his weaknesses and faults, but how ultimately he became one of the most brilliant scientists ever. There's a lot of humanity in this book and I think it is admirable to brush a complex picture of such a great man, instead of only giving weight to the more heroic aspects. All in all maybe more relatable and inspiring.

The illustrations are very fine, in particular it was pretty stunning how the likeness of the adult Einstein was captured in the expressive pictures of the young boy Einstein.

A very brief biography of Einstein as it is a picture book. Some of the things Einstein did were off-putting. I was glad to see the author did not shy away from them in an effort to make Einstein a perfect person. Nor was he portrayed as a horrible person. There was a good balance between the good and the bad. A good introduction to Albert Einstein.

An interesting biography of Albert Einstein told in a way that elementary students can understand. I learned some things about Einstein that I didn't know before and the style of illustration was appealing.

An interesting illustration and biographical writing style. Mostly addressed his childhood characteristics and events, which would likely interest kids the most. As long as you’re satisfied with understanding Einstein generally as the really smart E=mc2 guy, this book will provide interesting insight into his path to notoriety.
