Best instalment of the series I've read so far. The stakes were high and I was on the edge of my seat. The time and care taken to explore the villains motivations was fantastic and I look forward to continuing.

Nick Spencer continues his great run, and seeing Spidey face off with Kraven is always engaging!

This was solid, maybe a little long but mostly very good.

I'm being generous with two stars. Kraven has never been that interesting a character and this whole "noble hunter" turn feels misguided. This is a dude who hunts humans, among other stuff, for sport. There isn't anything noble or interesting about a character who treats Spiderman and children like Cecil the lion and requires Arcade of all losers to do his heavy lifting for him. It also doesn't help that even though this story takes place in just a night or two the 12 issues in theis collection were done by eight different artists giving the series a haphazzard feel. If Spencer were going for a Rashomon feel with this story I could see that aproach but these issues feel thrown together at the last minute.
