I cried -- twice. But there are also a few laughs. This book is as much about meds as it is about the things the in the title.

beautiful beautiful beautiful. so funny and moving and intimate. somehow she manages to portray bipolar in a way that’s honest but not so dark and heavy that you can’t handle it.

Marbles is A graphic novel memoir about living with and treating bi-polar disorder. The book is honest and blunt with humor woven throughout. And it contains some cartoon nudity! *gasp*
I recommend this to fans of memoirs in the form of graphic "novels".

A look at what being bipolar meant especially if you’re in a creative field. Was being bipolar the reason Ellen was an artist? What if she took meds? Will she stop producing art? Is there a relationship between the two? Were there artists that suffered from the same diagnoses?

Great stuff. A memoir about mental illness. Written graphic novel style. And it's funny.
