The DNF gauntlet continues to be thrown down this week as this is the fifth of six books I've decided to DNF this week. My luck has been just absolute shit, I swear.

The pacing was extremely weird and rushed and I couldn't connect with anything that was happening nor any of the characters things were happening to. Curses! Foiled again. Better luck next time, Jen! Hopefully the next book of hers I decide to read will be better or, at the very least, I'll be more likely to be in a better mood!

I found this book to be very entertaining and a good change from other Vampire novels I've read in the past.

I would recommend this to anyone who found the Twilight series lacking a bit and wanted something a bit different to the typical vampire romance.

3 stars because it was an gripping page turner. I liked the premise and the grittiness of the story. Felt like the ending was rushed with a few too choices/plots that did not make much sense. Especially with the hundreds of years old master vampire. His ending was way to easy. Overall it was an enjoyable read and I will read the next book sometime.

It was a little vulgar, but it was a good read.

I was expecting this to be a bit of a fluffy vampire romance but it actually turned out to be a gripping read with proper not very nice vampires. Not too much mystical stuff and not too much sex but a good urban fantasy read.

This series starts out really strong...I didn't like book 4 and she didn't end up with who I thought she should.

Re-read but from many years ago. Still love it.
