Not a bad novella but the narration for the audiobook was COMPLETE GARBAGE. Wish I'd read it as an ebook. Not the same narrator that does the full books in the Expanse series and I don't recommend listening to this. Grab it on ebook if you want to fully enjoy the story.

There's not a lot to this, which makes it hard for me to pin down just why I liked it the way as I did. Maybe it was seeing Bobbie again, my science fictional Martian girlfriend. Maybe it was the drugrunning on Mars. Maybe I was just in the mood for it. I don't know. My only problem was it didn't quite feel strange enough; these were familiar tropes in a new environment, and the familiar outweighed the new by a bit too much for me.

Mehhh, this definitely played out better in the show. I really wish this had been from Bobbie's perspective.

Not sure how it will fit in with big story, so for now 4 stars, as I do not see it as significant. No chapters, one POV.
OK read, recommended but not necessary as far as I can see, but that may change when I read the other books in the series, currently reading [b:Abaddon's Gate|16131032|Abaddon's Gate (Expanse, #3)|James S.A. Corey|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1407572059s/16131032.jpg|17606564], Expanse #03.
Reasonably long read (took me too long) for the price, more than a shorty or novella, just not long enough to be counted as a novel, I think.
