Too slow -- more telling than showing -- and I wasn't feeling drawn to the characters.

4.5 9/11 twist anyone could have seen coming, a little corny at the end but still teared up. Could make an excellent movie (crazy stupid love esque)

I really enjoyed the first 2/3 and then the narrator switched to the youngest of the Oppenheimer children and all nuance, conflict and momentum disappeared. What an odd, unfortunate way to wrap up an otherwise enjoyable book.

Redeemed itself in part 3. Really hated most of the characters (triplets who hate each other and miserable parents) but they make it out of the abyss at end thanks to the ‘latecomer’ - aka the fourth. Interesting perspective on family and finding your way.

I loved this! Excellent as an audiobook and I flew threw it. Complex characters and an interesting family to be immersed in.
