I loved it! Even more than the first one! This series is so much fun, and Bennett Day's story absolutely did not disappoint. I can't wait for the next one!!

Damn this book came so close to being perfect!
Maybe spoilers ahead be warned.
I loved everything about this book. I loved the fact it took place in Greece. I loved the witty banter, the humour, the action, the adventure, the plot, the supporting characters, the villains. All of it.
Except when I got about halfway and Bennet dropped the “I can’t love you” bomb my heart just sank. Even more when he said “I love you” twice later on. I thought that was fucked up and not fair on London. Especially after she’d said she wanted real love.
Even though it was brief and he quickly realised he did in fact love her I’m still not a big fan of Bennet. It just reinforces the myth that “he will change for me”. And I know it’s just a book but I’ve had that said to me and I can tell you womanisers don’t change. Or even worse they think they’ve changed but haven’t done the work. And they do tire of you and revert back to their old ways. I tend to prefer heroes who are witty and charming like Bennet. But you know what? Maybe Gabriel in the previous wasn’t exactly a smooth talker but at least he was consistent with his affection from the start and knew exactly what he wanted. But regardless I still absolutely loved this book! I did have tears in my eyes when Bennet professes his love to London. His declaration was really sweet and beautiful.

Very fun, and a very believable romance -- once I looked past that just TOUCHING someone would have some 'effect that has never been felt before' etc etc. Who cares? Bennett and London are interesting, and it doesn't just gloss over issues that they would have to throw them together. Very fun, very engaging, love the magic (even if I still think "Blades of the Rose" is a really dumb name for a secret society :P )

This book was overall pretty great! I enjoyed it more than the first book in the series, [b:Warrior|9036792|Warrior (The Blades of the Rose, #1)|Zoe Archer|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1283019148s/9036792.jpg|7860127].

The H/h actually have a real obstacle (multiple, actually) that may stop them from getting together, and I actually felt like their love for each other developed naturally, instead of having them get together simply because one was a guy and one was a girl.

Archer's writing has also improved. The villains in this book were much more of a threat than Warrior. The final battle, also, was much more dramatic than the first, which ended rather suddenly. Archer also added a secondary romance that I enjoyed just as much as the primary.

My one complaint with the book is Archer's repetitive descriptions. If I had to read about Bennett's leaned muscles and sculpted lines and powerful chest/arms/legs/etc. I thought I was going to go crazy.

Altogether, this book was an enjoyable, light-hearted read and I can't wait for the last two!

I didn't read the first book of this series because my library didn't have it. I really liked the worldbuilding, the spicy scenes, the protagonists, and the plot! Very fun read!

Romping good fun! Recommended by Smart Bitches Trashy Books for a reader in search of adventure romance. The epilogue/setup for the next one set in Canada def piqued my interest too.

I hadn't realized this book was part of a series until I was over half-way through with it. It is number two in the series, but I think it speaks well for the author that I didn't know it was a series book and did not find myself confused one little bit throughout the story. It was full of wonderful imagery, likable characters, and the pacing was amazing. I couldn't put the book down. I'm happy to say the rest of this series is now being added to the to-be-read pile simply because of this book alone. They're sitting on my kindle waiting for me to pick them up. Great job, Ms. Archer and here's hoping I enjoy the rest of the series as much if not more than this book.

I wanted something easy breezy to read and this fit the bill. It was nothing new for the genre and the adventure itself reminded me of some budget video game. I had problems with how obsessed the main character was with gender equality and how many times the author brought up how the love interest super really respected our heroine. A little too much of "telling" and not "showing." For having such an inferiority complex and trying to be super modern woman, I felt the heroine let her love interest carry her around (literally and figuratively) too much. She didn't kick as much ass as she should have.
