This story has such a nice blend of music, feminism, fantasy and history. It is such a beautiful and saddening story of a forgotten woman and what she might have felt living in her brother's shadow. There's also faeries, music and complicated characters. It's a very cozy, whimsical story that I think children, teens and adults could read and enjoy.

Okay so honestly, I thought this started out a little slowly - but the use of foreshadowing is masterful and it definitely picks up pace. In the end, I loved, loved, loved it.

Fine

Easy to read but pretty predictable. The story is sweet but it lacked any serious tension and I struggled with the motivation to keep going.

This one’s a little hard to rate, because I really enjoyed my time with the Mozart siblings in their “real life”, but didn’t care for the magical realism aspect at all. Even though the imagery was delightful, I found myself skimming those parts. So I’m rating it middle of the road.

An intriguing concept, though—who knew Wolfgang had a sister who was also a child prodigy? This is a nice little fiction spun from that piece of forgotten history.
