A fast-paced read about zombie Stormtroopers. Space-zombies are a concept I've always enjoyed, although the Star Wars universe makes them slightly less harrowing than something like Dead Space.
Although the whole novel is short and quick to read, the first half is mostly setup. When we know what's coming next - the zombies are the whole selling point of the story after all - I would rather have had the undead come into play sooner and for a longer duration than we get here. However, what we do get of the zombies doesn't hold back and is more graphic than I expected, which was a positive surprise.
The original characters are decent enough, if a bit shallow and archetypal.
Overall though, a decent read.

The sudden appearance of Han Solo and Chewbacca did have me rolling my eyes a bit, and it killed some of the tension since they were obviously going to survive.Overall though, a decent read.

A frantic second half more than makes up for some iffy dialogue in the first. This would make a great movie!
