Action packed, and really good! The narrator does a great job. The bad guy is super creepy, and I didn't really like reading his parts. That doesn't make it a bad thing. Overall a super book.

The beginning was a slow start but once the action started it was non-stop. Good read.

The next book in the Perseid Series. You definitely root for the characters! It's a good post-apocalypse.

Enjoying the series overall, but think this instalment may have had a bit too much padding. I skimmed most of the big gun battle which was quite long but didn't really add substance to the story.

Lots of military action in this one. Still don't know exactly what happened, but I like that mystery. A scary premise of armed militia in the US.

This is not a new series, but Perseid Collapse is one of the best, and the gems are written by Konkoly. Even Horizon takes the intense personal story and reveals the layers of the global onion in blazing detail.

Jakarta Pandemic was a great read. Pulled you in, hit close to home, etc. The Perseid Collapse, which takes place a few years after JP, was good. It followed the same characters, gave you an interesting premise, and worked from there. The author failed to give us a connection to the character that was missing, which was not the greatest, considering that the search to find that missing character was THE main point of the Perseid Collapse.

Event Horizon... It hasn't been that long since I read it, and I can honestly say I barely remember anything that happened in it. It was spectacularly anti-climatic. Yes, there was one kick-ass fighting scene in there, but other than that, it was a book that I had to force myself to finish.

I had been corresponding with the author on twitter, which is literally the only reason I made myself finish this book. I have the third one, that I bought for 99p when it was on sale. It will sit on a neglected shelf for quite a while, I'm sure.

I applaud the author for creating a realistic world/scenario, but unfortunately his characters just do not keep my attention or make me care about them. At all. =/
