When I packed this book to take with me for visiting family over the holidays I didn't remember what I'd read it would be about when I bought it. I started reading it in order to avoid family drama and this was the perfect book to do so, I read another family's drama to ignore my own. I could not put this book down and read it in 4 days even though I'm easily distracted and a slow reader.
This book was more mysterious and dark than what I'm used to and what I expected but the cover did warn me it would be like that so that was on me. Nevertheless, the story was very intriguing and to quote Captain Holt from B99: "I didn't know what was happening, and then I thought I knew what was happening, but what I thought I knew was happening wasn't what was happening."
Since having found sapphic books I can not bring myself to read books that don't involve any wlw characters or story lines and this one was the perfect example of how you can write a story with a sapphic character without the main topic being a wlw romance.
All in all I highly recommend All the Bad Apples but I advise everyone to check out the trigger warnings because it discusses and mentions very heavy issues.
