some of the stories need time to digest, but good to read is all

All the stories are strong, but the title story is the best, very poignant.

Interesting collection of stories with a Kahlo-esque feel to the art. I enjoyed the unexpected (and often grotesque) turn of events in all the stories. Surreal plots with the complexities of familial bonds and secrets.

4.5 stars. Really odd stories with unexpected endings! Love the quirky art style too. Definitely want to obtain a copy for my own library so I can revisit in the future :)

The cover had me primed for something softer, but this was funny, dark and weird. Culturally specific, creepy noir with a quirky delicate touch. Awesome.

Felt a little fast, a little draft-ish, also sometimes just too weird for my taste.

I much preferred Exit Wounds, but I did enjoy this short story collection too (set in Israel).
