This was a lovely book, in the "Irish fiction" genre. Thirty something Izzie Silver is living in New York, but she's not really happy. She rushes home to be with her grandmother, Lily, who raised her, after Lily had a stroke. And her aunt Annaleise's life has been turned upside down when her husband of over 25 years has left her. The three women strive to find happiness and must turn to the past to do so. I really enjoyed this book

This was a really nice read--- while the title may seem sad- the content is not. If you like generational stories with strong women- then this is the book for you

Beautifully written! I am so happy the end didn’t come with a typical trope I thought was going to happen.

Not my ordinary type of book, but I needed a light read with the excitement of being at the beach! It was a simple to read, honest story; not much to analyze. Certainly the most chick-lit book I've ever read. Gave it to my best friend IMMEDIATELY. I enjoy that it dealt with so many conversations that modern women feel they must handle. I also enjoyed that Kelly questions relationships across the board, and didn't get too caught up in the story line of the 'single, beautiful, successful 30-something.' Throw in a romantic look at 1930s Ireland and London during the Blitz, and you've got a readable, entertaining page turner. Definitely a beach book.

I thought this book would be interesting, but I was wrong. I could only manage a few pages.

Third star was because the last couple of pages were tearjerking.
