I picked this book up at FlameCon this summer. It's a really interesting premise, taking the imagined world that the Bronte siblings created together and turning it into a portal fantasy. Charlotte, Emily, Anne, and Branwell spend their childhood slipping away from their isolated country home into the magical world of Angria. But as they grow up, the siblings begin to have different views on the importance of their fantasy world.

Still, the actual story of this book fell a little flat for me. It covers the Bronte siblings' entire lifetimes in less than 100 pages with minimal dialogue, so the story feels a bit rushed and zoomed out, without a compelling plot. It was a fun, quick read with interesting ideas, but I would have preferred a smaller fraction of their lives fleshed out in more depth.
