Did this book carry a complete plot?

Because if it did, I missed it. Had I not played the games, I think I'd have been more disappointed. It seemed a decent start to, well, a story, but... the story wasn't really concluded when Blood of Elves ended. Nothing really concluded. I mean... right?

The pacing of this book is really odd. It reads like a book length introduction. But I really liked the detail and world building.
