Not the best book I've ever read, but certainly not the worst. I felt that the pacing was a bit odd; Sally's death was on page 40 (very quick) and then the whole book after that was of the investigation to find the murderer I felt that many of the characters weren't loveable in any sense, and some characters you meet only once or twice. I also thought a lot of the investigation scenes with various characters were pretty similar, and I started to get bored at some points. I will say though, the diction and syntax within the book was beautiful, and there were many times when I had to pull out my dictionary app. Cover Her Face is honestly a pretty good choice of book to read if you want a quick and interesting (enough) read.
Graphic: Death and Murder
Moderate: Medical content and Death
