I'm really curious about the age group this is for. I feel like this reads better for older kids or for younger kids who have an adult who can read this with. That is not always the case and just thinking on my own experience, language is often a barrier. Still, I really enjoyed this and really think this should be something all adults share with their kids, great messages and techniques

One of those books that are sold to make adults feel better about themselves and aren't really meant for babies -- "Quantum Physics for Babies" is another notorious example.

The second page literally says: "Babies are taught to be racist or antiracist--there's no neutrality." Notwithstanding my reservations about the accuracy of this statement (racism is a continuum, not a binary variable, and it'd be naive to expect socialization to be 100% consistent), I'm wondering what I'm supposed to do with a book page like this as a parent: to read this slogan aloud to my baby?

Illustrations are ok. But, overall, the book feels more like a gratuitous extension of Ibram X. Kendi's franchise into a new profitable demographic rather than something parents can actually use.

I love the artwork. Of course the content is important but this is definitely a children’s book that was actually written for adults.

A helpful book for parents to start talking to their kids about race and think about how they themselves will work to be antiracist. My daughter loves the pictures, she's been grabbing it off the shelf every day.
