I was a bit nervous since there is a new author for Kamala, but the core of what I like about Ms. Marvel seems to be there! Looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

I am a huge fan of Kamala. She's one of the reasons I got into reading comics regularly. And… I will admit that I was a bit nervous to see her in another writer's hands and beginning again with an adjective in the title of a new issue #1.
What do I think? I think, like most #1s, it has to introduce a whole lot about its world, and I tend to find that a little tedious to read (to the point where I almost have a spiel to apologize for my low ratings of #1 issues). I don't know how I feel about the Destined One stuff at the beginning of the issue (nor even feel like I really understand how that may or may not relate to the current time period of the issue). Most of the current time period was fine. I am a little anxious about the storyline around. But I am trying to put a lid on that anxiety, since I don't think we have a firm sense of what has really happened to them (or what will happen to them in future issues).
So, given my lack of enthusiasm for most #1s, my prediction of how I would rate future issues is probably 4 stars.
