This review is for the Audiobook version of Novices which more than exceeded any expectations I had going in.
Whether you're a fan of serious fantasy adventures or more light-hearted fare, there's plenty to enjoy. I'd compare Novices favorable to NPCs by Drew Hayes.
While it ends open enough for the inevitable sequel(s), Novices stands well enough alone.
Narrator Travis was a pleasant surprise. He gave each of the motley crew of Novices their own unique voice that was easily recognizable and consistent throughout.
