A compelling exploration of the sociology of sex, one that covers and questions every predisposition and prejudice held by the British people of the mid-20th century in regards to sexuality, the reasons for these sentiments, and possible solutions to them. It would be natural to think this book is rather outdated in its principles on gender and sexual orientation, but this is not so - Comfort has an academically empathetic soul, and a thoughtfully progressive yet respectful disposition that many could still learn from today. Worthwhile reading for any eager learner or casual inquisitor.
