Overall: It was somewhat odd reading this, because it depends on a woman being elected in 2016. This is probably a good sampler of the authors.
Ferrell and Adams: While these seemed to be parts of series, I didn't feel lost and I felt the story was engaging. I would read more of the series.
Northcott: I already like this author and series.
Tyler: Um. Nope. We started out with "it's okay to rough up the suspect" and continued with how bad the media are to law enforcement. I did finish the book, because I wanted everything to tie up in the larger arc. I have a feeling this author might be better for me at a longer length, but I can't deal with the police/media attitude at this point.
