Appreciate the honest depiction of anxiety and depression, and the chosen family vibes đŸ’—
Anyone else wondering who the guy standing with the Turtle Bread team is at the end? Geraint’s boyfriend?

I think this story would have been better if it had been told as a graphic memoir instead. The passage of time was not super clear, the style of the characters inconsistent and maybe a little boring at times. It was very cute to have the recipes interspersed though! As it stands I would not classify it as an adult graphic novel, this would have been better suited marketed to teens for sure. There just wasn't enough meat in the book for my liking, no pun intended.
Graphic: Panic attacks/disorders
Moderate: Death

Fitting with its theme, this book was very sweet. I quite liked the cute manga-style art which fit the tone of the book well, even when handling darker issues.
Graphic: Bullying, Death, Grief, and Cancer
