I will be exclusively reading Sedaris' books as audio books from now on.

I'm a huge fan of Sedaris and will read everything he writes. This wasn't my favorite--but still filled with moments of brilliance and laugh-out-loud scenes. He's a gem.

I'm having a difficult time eating this as its a mix of short fictions and non fiction essays, and I don't typically give a star rating to memoirs, which these essays are reminiscent of. Sedaris's humor lands for me in wasy that I sometimes feel wasn't intentional. I can't really decide if I like the fiction better than the nonfiction - or vice versa.

It’s a “best of,” so no new content, but revisiting these essays was a joy.

I loved this collection of Sedaris's best and favorite essays. All of my favorites were there, like "Jesus Shaves," "Laugh, Kookaburra," and "A Guy Walks into a Bar Car."

Deeply cynical. Very funny. With nearly 50 essays compiled here chronologically, it doesn’t always feel like a page turner, but it would make an excellent bathroom book. Enjoy a new chapter with each visit!
