I like Milligan, he’s done some good work at vertigo, but this fell flat for me. Felt like he was trying to build his own Vertigo universe like Gaiman, but it just didn’t work for me. I read three issues and still didn’t really know or care about any of the characters. Didn’t really grasp their stakes or motivations.

One star for finishing this one. This about takes the cake in shitty comics. The art wasn't that great to me, and the plot was completely confusing.

This had the potential to be good. (read: POTENTIAL). This was supposed to be a Greek mythology retelling, combining the myths and characters with a modern plot and setting. That, with the amazing cover art seemed really promising.

But boy did it flop. The art inside doesn't look like the cover art, and it definitely wasn't for me. And the story was bad. It was confusing, and the plot had too much happening. The dialogue also didn't add to the reader's understanding.

I think the author knew a lot about mythology and wrote this, not considering that the reader may not know all of the stories and characters. It seemed like we were to jump in with both feel and know all of the characters from each other, who was a myth character and a mortal. And I didn't, even though I read a lot of mythology.

And what was happening in the plot? It seemed like some sort of mafia story with a monster thing or something?? IDK. And I dont care to read further to find out.

Really dissapointed.

The story felt forced and poorly written. The artwork was great thought there was a little too much nudity personally and not enough substance. It was fun, got to give it that, but I expected and hoped for so much more than this.
