Amazing!
I finished this book in just over 24 hours. I found it from an add on tiktok and this story absolutely sucked me in. The twists and tragedy, i wish I could read it for the first time again.

3 stars cause i didn’t feel the romance AT ALL but i loved kellan and really enjoyed the story. authors please don’t ever try to make a pap smear sexy. ruined the book for me

Darling Venom was billed to me as a dark romance, but it's more of a tragedy (with an HEA) to me. Even though it wasn't what I was expecting, I still enjoyed the story. The forbidden romance aspect was well-paced, but I would have liked a bit more at the end with the couple being together. This is a long book, but it was an easy read and didn't feel like a chore. My favorite thing was the development each character went through; they're all hot messes and make an effort to improve themselves and their relationships by the end, which balanced the angst from early on. Definitely read the trigger warnings before diving in, however, as Darling Venom focuses on heavy subjects.

After Devious Lies, I became of fan of Parker S. Huntington, and now Im glad I did. Darling Venom is one of my top 10 for 2021 books. All characters in the book stumbled and fell rock bottom then eventually found their way back up. Not just up, but wonderfully up. This book is beautifully written and I can't wait for the author's next book.
