I was very excited when I stumbled across this on my library's audiobook app because this series was one of my favourites when I was younger. There's something very comforting about re-visiting an old favourite and finding that it lives up to the memory. I loved this and there were so many parts I remembered so vividly, down to the exact sentences. While nostalgia definitely improved my experience, I think it's a great book in its own right. It's carefully plotted and all the characters are so nuanced. I love the whole Casson family and now I've discovered the audiobooks are available through the library I'll be listening to the rest of the series.
