Thankfully, I found this one to be an improvement over the first entry in the Jacques McKeown series.
Yahtzee writes this one in a much more consistent style and tone than the first one and I found the plot to be more organic and coherent. The whole heist narrative seemed like a good angle for this character.
I did find it a little...awkward at times that the main character (who is off and on called various names) was unreasonably aggressive towards several other characters for no discernable reason. Initially, it made sense (given that MC and one of the members of the gang had a negative history), but it never went away.
The book does end off on a cliffhanger for the next book (which I do hope eventually does get published), which does leave me wanting the next part of the narrative.

Still fun and a fast read, but not as fun as the previous book and it felt a tad sloppy in places.

Not as good as the first, but still a decent piece of light entertainment
