Loved it. Great crime story with lots of unexpected endings. I didn't like that again the detective character falls in love with the victim. That was kind of weird to happen two books in a row. Really creepy actually. Other than that a really solid read.

3.5⭐️ not bad but it was supper dark and the plot twist at the end did not make a lot of sense. Other than that it was good.

It was very good and I will be reading the rest of this series. I accidentally started with this one first, but it didn't really seem to matter. It got a little confusing with all of these characters and connecting how they related to what, but overall a very good mystery that I was hooked to for most of the read!

Book #2 in the series.
You could read this without reading the previous book and understand what is going on throughout. Though there is some characters that appear from Book 1 and would have more understanding of the characters if the previous was read. Though there is enough recap to understand the background of those characters.
So much mystery and suspense in this one. Wonderful, didn't want to put this one down. I have to say while I figured out what was going on, at the same time I didn't figure it out at all until it happened. So many avenues and twists and turns to go down.
There is a minor romantic element in this and I think it was done kind of nicely. Though it was not a big focus in the book so it was a little hard to see the chemistry.
A wonderful mystery/suspense read with the lightest touch of romance.

Hardback.
This started off at a relatively quick pace but then for me , tailored off.
I’ve enjoyed a few of LG’s books but sadly this one just wasn’t for me.

My rating: 4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ really enjoyed this one… great writing and full on story!!!
I am running behind schedule on my reviewing so I am not going to wrap up the synopsis … because lets face it I probably don’t need to do that for you since you can read it on GR’s and maybe it makes my reviews a little long

This was an enjoyable read with some plot twists and turns. It does switch between first and third person which I normally do not like, but Gardner's style made it seamless.

I love Lisa Gardner’s writing. She has such a way of making a story suspenseful while sprinkling in some twists and turns along the way. I’m always able to fly right through her books because they are just so enjoyable.
