I enjoyed this story as a middle-grade reader and I've been thinking about it ever since. I think anyone would enjoy this book. The story is exciting and difficult and painful and wonderful all at the same time. This was also a good move from children's literature to more complex literature as a very young reader. This book takes the young reader from a simple story to one that is a bit more challenging to comprehend.
