OMGGG I NEED BOOK 3!!!! Like NOW!! Arabis?? SEL, NICK!? Oh me oh my Brie Matthews, Scion, root-crafter what journey are you about to embark on now?? I have so many questions but what a Cliffhanger! My mind is blown but I enjoyed every bit of this journey (the highs, the lows and the constant rollercoaster of emotions that I’ve felt imagined as Brie). I am floored and my mouth is still dropped to the floor. Read this series! Omg!

I loved how Tracy developed Brie’s character in many complexed battles, situations and through the nurturing of various relationships. I feel like I felt Brie’s and Sel’s and Nick’s anguish, hurt, love, fear and uncertainty! Well done and well written Tracy!

Tropes: coming of age, prophecy/quest, forbidden magic, veiled magic

Spice: not too much spice due to this being a YA novel; however, it offers slow burn moments between characters & some zesty scenes and thoughts!
