Oof! That was pretty cool as an ending to that arc.

Finally the arc is over! And what an emotional ride was this last volume, I was just crying at points. For Erza who deserves her freedom, for her friends, for everyone. The big final battle was so cool and I just loved every bit of it. I loved getting some revelations, see Natsu power up some more (and wonder how much more he can do, probably a lot + he needs to learn how to handle it), see Erza and Natsu not give up, and I just loved all that everyone did for Erza here. She really has found a new family.
And that last illustration, that just made me cry some more, because she wasn't able to do that before, and now she can.
But yes, at times it feels like people from Fairy Tail cannot be beaten, at all, they just keep finding new powers. And I love it, but it also feels very deus ex machina.

This is a very important volume as it contains the iconic:
“A person isn’t supposed to die for one’s friends, one has to live for one’s friends!”
You must understand in the context of Fairy Tail that is not only a staple of the series but also a very valuable moment in the Tower of Heaven arc.
This volume essentially concludes the arc, though the whole resolution is in the next volume.
Oh, we get the most wonderful moments of pure platonic love between Natsu and Erza.
Tower of Heaven arc gives a perfect look into Erzas past and I’m living for it .

I read this as part of Dewey's 24 Hour Readathon April 2020

This volume of the Tower of Heaven arc feels like there is so much plotting and maneuvering behind the scenes that we don't know about yet, and I find that to be fascinating. There are really high stakes building up the intensity here. Will the Magic Council release Etherion and destroy some of our favorite Fairy Tail members? Will they find a way to succeed and defeat Jellal before the Etherion strikes? What will happen? Well, keep reading and you'll find out.

"No sabes nada de él" Erza.
"¿Tengo que hacer un cursillo para patearle el culo o qué? Natsu

"No tengo que morir por la seguridad de mis amigos, tengo que vivir para protegerlos" Erza

Genial la batalla de Natsu y Jeral. Pobre Simon, una de las pocas muertes que ocurren en Fairy Tail.

really enjoyed this one!

Omg okay really enjoyed this volume! It was sad; had me crying tbh. It was filled with love, sacrifice and friendship—old and new. About the lengths that one will go to in order to save those that we love.

Ezra once again was the queen of this volume, she never disappoints.
And Natsu unlocked a new ability of his? Was his true power finally revealed, guess we’ll find out.

I always knew there was something more to Sieg-sama. But I was not expecting that twist. Him and Jellal being the same person? Damn that was an interesting surprise.

I’m honestly not a hundred percent sure if Jellal is actually dead… I doubt it. So, it’s be interesting to see his return. I definitely got childhood friends-turned enemies-to-lovers vibes from him and Ezra, I may be way off there, but you can’t deny that’s they’d definitely serve that trope.
