This Captain Phasma is an act in justifying the shallow, short-sighted plot decisions made in TFA. Phasma still isn't a strong character; she's nasty and selfish - beyond loyalty to the First Order. Though she still maintains her imposing stature, which at this point is her sole identifying characteristic.

The comic itself isn't bad, and the art is pretty good. The pilot is a nice addition that shows a little sympathy and dimension amongst the First Order. Barring the "Bring everyone"..."where are all the women" cliché that some consider a badge of forward-thinking feminism, the writing is decent. But ultimately, there is no character to root for, and no reward at the end of reading this volume.
