It was ok, I didn’t really love many of the characters.  They made decisions I didn’t like at all, one in particular.

The art is effective and I loved the character designs. Character interactions is where this story's strength is. It doesn't balance the teen drama well with the supernatural elements, though; the plot with ghosts and werewolves just weights the plot down.

Ok, I really thought I'd love the fact that the two illustrators rotated each chapter, but the styles were just similar enough that it didn't hit like I thought it would.

That being said, absolutely gorgeous art! I wish it were in color.

The story was interesting (if not very original), and the characters were very diverse, even down to a wide variety of body types.

The writing was a little choppy and the story seemed pretty rushed overall. But, it might've been set up for a sequel? Which I would definitely read.

Look, representation? Spectator- if a little too clunky. Many identity intersections and oftentimes when the authors aren't a part of all those identities, they aren't able to accurately portray them. But I do think credit needs to be given for the attempt and it warms my heart to think of youths being able to read something that makes an effort to more closely resemble real life's beautiful diversity.

The art, gorgeous, and I really didn't mind or notice the art styles changing between chapters. The werewolves were drawn in a very visceral scary way.

Overall the story was cliche, I also would have liked more lore on the magic of this world. I am personally definitely aged out of 'young adult' but I'd still say this comic could be more appreciated with an even younger audience. It's a gorgeous pallet cleanser book in between reading heavier novels.
