I really enjoyed this: liked the heroine, who was redheaded but not especially feisty, just practical and loving. I liked that she tried hard to understand her father and to get along -- she was someone who had had hard times but didn't see the point of dwelling on them, because there was living to be getting on with. The plot was pretty predictable, but done in a v. satisfactory manner. Also impressed by written dialect that sounded consistent and not-hokey, though I can't speak for its accuracy.
