Best things about this book: 1) Beautiful, fun, engaging drawings and page illustrations that add to the text 2) Diverse range of artists in terms of artistic medium as well as artists' place of origin, race, age, etc. 3) Great way to be introduced to many artists that I didn't know about and to learn more about the lives of some I did.
Some things that would have improved it: 1) There were one or two trans/gender nonconforming artists in the book, but I would have liked to see more 2) While there were a lot of African American artists, there were very few from Africa. I also would have liked to see more Native American or other indigenous artists 3) Many of these artists come from wealthy backgrounds - I'm sure there are many artists out there who did not come from privileged backgrounds and attend prestigious universities.
Overall, very fun and informative, good for reading straight through or reading random artist profiles.

Nice book about women artists. I took off a star because of the unnecessary content about several artists’ sex lives and preferences.

Wonderful art and so much information about woman artists! So many I had never even heard about!

I consider myself a reluctant biography reader, and yet I was quite fascinated by this book 'cos it is simply delightful to read with all the illustrations!
