Very similar experience as their other works, where I feel like there is no new information presented, but mostly affirms ideas I already had, which is valuable! Not a how-to guide, but a why-guide, which is exactly what I needed

I was going to say this changed the way I viewed BDSM but I think its more that it perfectly refined the knowledge I have. It helped me so deeply what is important. I really loved the writing style, it felt like a conversation that I didn't ever get bored listening to. Other SM books I've read have often felt a bit repetitive and kind of like all the same information but regurgitated however this book felt like something completely new. I am like a stuck record with how much I refer to this book. I have learnt more from this book than all other SM books I have read combined.

Even if you come into this book knowing most of what is discussed, the way a lot of it was laid out is really helpful for having conversations and actually planning scenes
