Vive le Pinkwater! My husband and I roll on the floor over this one, while our 4 year old looks perplexed. Hopefully he'll grow into it!

This is another delightful bad bears book but I do think it’s easier to fully enjoy it after reading at least one other and preferably the entire series. At my first reading I thought it might be the weakest book of the five Bad Bears books published so far, but I read it again later in the day and enjoyed it much more. Luckliy, children’s picture books don’t take too long to read; it’s extraordinarily easy to reread them, over and over if requested by young kids. So, I decided to read it (only) a third time in one day, and yes, this is a worthy addition to the series. I have to say that I’m very glad I’m reading them in order, and while not as fanatical as I was about the fairly recent Harry Potter books, I hope that the Pinkwaters write many more Irving and Muktuk books.

Not quite as good as I&M and BB Detectives, but still a gem of a book! As with the other two, I was laughing out loud from the first page. This is the last of the Bad Bears books that my library has, so I guess I'll break down and buy the other two. I can't stand not knowing the whole Bad Bears history!
